A Meaningful Austin Elopement at the Texas State Capitol & Travis County Courthouse


There's something incredibly special about an intimate wedding day surrounded by the people who matter most. This beautiful Austin elopement was filled with meaningful moments, family, and a celebration centered around what truly matters—beginning a new chapter together.


We started the day at the Texas State Capitol in downtown Austin, where the couple shared portraits together before being joined by their family for group photos. The Capitol is one of my favorite locations for Austin elopement photography, offering timeless architecture, beautiful stone details, and elegant backdrops around every corner. Having their family present for portraits made the morning even more special. There was so much excitement as everyone gathered to celebrate this important milestone and support the couple as they prepared to officially become husband and wife.


After portraits at the Capitol, we made our way to the Travis County Courthouse for the ceremony. Surrounded by their closest family members, the couple exchanged vows in an intimate ceremony that perfectly reflected who they are. The simplicity of the day allowed them to focus on what mattered most—celebrating their marriage and sharing the experience with the people they love.

One of the things I love most about courthouse weddings and Austin elopements is how intentional they feel. Without the stress of a large wedding timeline, couples are able to be fully present and enjoy every moment together. This day was a perfect example of that.


Following the ceremony, there were hugs, happy tears, and plenty of celebration as the newlyweds soaked in the joy of officially being married. It was a beautiful reminder that weddings don't have to be large to be meaningful. Sometimes the most memorable days are the simplest ones.
